The NX3 lighting console is a professional lighting control solution built around the way programmers actually work. Powered by ONYX with 64 universes of embedded processing, NX3 combines a tactile hardware interface, motorized playbacks, integrated touchscreens, and extensive networking and DMX connectivity in a compact console designed for everything from smaller productions to complex show environments.
Intuitive ONYX Programming Workflow
NX3 is designed to make programming fast and intuitive from the moment you sit down. The hardware layout aligns with the ONYX on-screen workflow, while RGB-backlit controls provide clear visual feedback across faders, buttons, and encoders. This helps programmers quickly identify active controls, playback status, and system information while working through a show.
64 Universes of Embedded Processing
With 64 universes of ONYX processing built directly into the console, NX3 delivers substantial lighting control capacity without requiring external processing hardware. The system supports up to 32,768 channels and 32,768 fixtures, providing the processing capacity needed as productions grow in scale and complexity.
Motorized Playbacks and Tactile Control
The NX3 provides 10 motorized 60mm faders and 50 optical playback buttons, all featuring RGB backlighting. Motorized faders provide real-time tactile feedback that reflects active playbacks, while customizable RGB feedback helps keep important controls visually identifiable during programming and live operation.
Integrated Touchscreen Control
A folding 17.3" Full HD multi-touch display provides the primary interface for the ONYX software, while an integrated 4.5" parameter touchscreen puts additional control information directly within reach. NX3 can also support up to three external 4K displays with touch functionality for expanded programming and show information.
Designed for Long Programming Sessions
NX3 combines a low-profile form factor with refined tactile controls designed for extended use. The console features RGB-backlit controls throughout the programmer and playback sections, five high-resolution rotary encoders with push functionality, a full numerical keypad, dedicated command controls, and ten user-assignable function keys.
Professional Connectivity
NX3 provides extensive connectivity for professional lighting systems, including four locking 5-pin DMX I/O connections with RDM, dual 2.5Gb network ports, dual locking 1Gb network ports, multiple USB connections, and three DisplayPort outputs. Audio input can also be used for LTC/SMPTE timecode, while the console supports professional control and networking protocols including sACN, Art-Net, OSC, CITP, NDI, and ONYX X-NET.
