You can cut, copy, combine, and loop your audio regions directly on the screen with intuitive gestures. To keep your session organized, the faders, gain dials, and touchscreen track regions are color-coded, ensuring you always know exactly which channel you are adjusting at a glance.
Creative Production Tools
More than just a recorder, the R20 is a complete production hub. It comes equipped with a full MFX processor compatible with Guitar Lab software, allowing you to polish your tracks with professional EQ, compression, and effects. For arrangement, it offers 18 built-in synth sounds playable via the touchscreen or a USB-MIDI keyboard, along with 150 rhythm patterns across 30 genres to act as your versatile virtual drummer.
Versatile Connectivity and Control
The R20 adapts to any studio environment. It records directly to SDHC or SDXC cards up to 1TB, providing massive storage for standalone projects. When you need to connect to a computer, it functions as an 8-in/4-out USB audio interface for PC and Mac (2-in/2-out for iOS). Additionally, it utilizes the Mackie Control Protocol, allowing you to use the physical faders and transport controls to manage your DAW. For wireless freedom, the optional Zoom BTA-1 Bluetooth Adaptor enables control via an iOS app.
