8" Low-Profile Two-Way Ceiling Loudspeaker

The Electro-Voice EVID C8.2LP is a complete two-way ceiling speaker package designed for venues that require high-quality audio and extended bass response in a low-profile form factor. Featuring a powerful 8-inch coaxial driver and a waveguide-coupled 1-inch titanium-coated tweeter, it delivers high-fidelity music and intelligible voice reproduction with wide dispersion. Its low-profile zinc-plated steel enclosure allows for installation in tight ceiling spaces where standard depth 8-inch speakers may not fit.

Professional Installation & Safety

Engineered for commercial environments, the C8.2LP is fully rated for safety, meeting UL 1480 and UL 2043 standards for use in air handling spaces (plenum). The unit includes a tile bridge and mounting ring for suspended ceiling installations. The rear enclosure features a 4-pin Phoenix-style terminal block for secure connections (up to 12-gauge wire) and pass-through to additional speakers.

Versatile Power Configuration

The speaker is equipped with an internal line-matching transformer for 70V/100V distributed audio systems. A convenient selector switch located on the front baffle allows for easy tap selection (1.88W to 30W) or 8-ohm bypass operation. This design allows installers to adjust power settings even after the speaker has been mounted, simply by removing the grille.
