I have to say, Ben Stowe from NLfx Professional really takes customer service and support to an entirely different level then I have ever seen before…

I ended up ordering a whole bunch of Chauvet Rain 56 & Rain 64 LEDs, along with several Chauvet wireless DMX transmitter/receivers, and tons of NLfx Platinum Series DMX cables. While I was at it, I also picked up the new Chauvet 4Bar (for my smaller light shows) and upgraded my DMX software to ShowXpress. As you can imagine, with all of this new gear heading my way, I was a bit overwhelmed and intimidated!
Thinking that Ben would say “no” anyways, I had a crazy idea. I asked him if I could fly him to Connecticut to help teach me and my brother Steve, the best way to use the gear. Much to my shock and amazement, he not only considered the idea, but seemed really charged up about the idea of coming out here. In fact, Ben juggled his schedule around, so that he could actually come out on the weekend of the big B’nai Mitzvah event!
>>Fast forward to the first weekend of April, 2009.
On Friday evening, Steve & I met Ben at Bradley International airport and drove him back to my house, where he stayed with my family for 3 days as our guest. On Saturday, we left early for the Katzenberg B’nai Mitzvah to not only have extra time to setup the new gear, but so we could also get in lots of training time with Ben.

Before the big show, Ben taught me everything I needed to know about using my new architectual lighting fixtures and wireless DMX. He also spent a lot of time showing Steve how to use the ShowXpress DMX software with the new equipment. He even helped Steve program our American DJ Mega Bars, Martin Wizard Extreme, and Chauvet scanners & moving heads.
During the performance, Ben took the helm of the lighting controls when Steve & I were busy with other elements of the event. Throughout the night, he also gave instruction & pointers to Steve on the best ways to run and improve our existing lightshow. Ben not only taught us how to confidently use our new gear, he served up a killer lighting presentation at the B’nai Mitzvah. The Katzenberg’s were both pleased & impressed!
To make the most of Ben’s visit, we held a special DMX programming & lighting training session with my staff on Sunday. Other industry friends, and members of our New England ADJA chapter also attended. Ben did a fantastic job of both educating and entertaining everyone. And even though he mentioned that his prized BSU Beavers were in the frozen four about 147 times during the presentation (HE ACTUALLY HAD SLIDES!), he was a hit!
Before dropping Ben off at the airport on Monday, we finished out his trip with a thank you dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe at Foxwoods. Anyone who knows Ben well will tell you how much he loves the Hard Rock!
Unparalleled Customer Service!
I am telling you… This was service the likes I have NEVER received from any other retail store. Ben has not only proven his dedication to the industry to me, but has shown what a great guy he really is. Even with his obsessive hockey compulsion and strange addiction to Hard Rock Cafe hurricane glasses, I would not hesitate to bring Ben back out here again. He was a great house guest!
Now, I can’t guarantee that Ben will fly out to your house for training, but if you invite him to a hockey game or a Hard Rock Cafe he’s never been to, he just may consider it.
Either way, if you are looking for unparalleled customer support and product knowledge, NLfx Professional is the ONLY way to go. I won’t buy from anywhere else!
Thank You Ben!,

Ben is just that type of guy! I can’t wait for the day that he and I can just hang out and be goofy, instead of working and being goofy!
